The IWC sticker game is your chance to meet new people, spark conversations, and win prizes while having fun! Here’s how to play:

HOW TO PLAY

1️⃣ Find your sticker card + your personal supply of colour stickers (💡 check your name badge!).
2️⃣ Each column on your card = one colour 🎨 → max 7 stickers per column.
3️⃣ When a column is full, celebrate 🎉 …and leave that colour for others to collect!
4️⃣ When your own sticker supply is empty → you’re a Super Connector 🏆 (no refills, but you can still collect from others!).

CONNECT!

Make new connections anywhere! Here are some ideas:

☕ During coffee breaks

• Comment on a talk: "That was an interesting point about [topic], what do you think?"

• Spot others trading stickers? Jump in and join the conversation.

• Use coffee/tea stations to introduce yourself.

 

​​🖼 During poster sessions

• Ask the presenter questions about their work, then: "Do you still have a sticker left to share?"

• Discuss posters with others nearby, then swap stickers before moving on.

​​

🍽 During lunch & dinner

• Sit with people you don’t know yet!

• Share your sticker and invite them to exchange theirs.

​​

🤝 Be inclusive

• Invite someone who looks shy or left out to join you.

• Explain the game to anyone unsure—it’s a great conversation starter!

🏆 HOW TO WIN

You can win in five different ways:

1. 🎲 Participation prize – random draw among all submitted cards.

2. 🌈 Highest richness (S) – most colours collected.

3. 🔢 Highest abundance (N) – most stickers collected.

4. 📊 Highest diversity (D) – Simpson’s diversity index (inversed).

5. 🏅 Best combined score – top ranking in S, N, and D.

Tie-breaker → random draw among equal top results.

📋 SUBMIT YOUR CARD

• Calculate your scores (S, N, D) – use our online calculator at Sticker-Game Calculator 🖥 (it does the math for you!).

• You can also scan the QR code to the right to get directly to the calculator!

• Write your totals + your name on your card.

• Hand in at the registration desk no later than Wednesday at 18:00.

• Winners announced at the Wednesday party dinner 🎉​​​​​​​
