Presentation Guidelines
🎤 Oral Presentations
You have 15 minutes total — aim for 12 minutes of speaking and 3 minutes for questions. There will be a 5-minute transition period between sessions to give attendees time to move between rooms.
🎞️ Presentation delivery
You can drop off your presentation file at the check-in desk when you arrive, or deliver it directly to your assigned session room. Important:
-
If presenting in a morning session, please submit your file no later than the afternoon before your talk
-
If you are presenting in an afternoon session, please submit your file by 10:00 on the same day, before the end of the first coffee break.
💾 PowerPoint format guidelines
-
File type: .pptx (PowerPoint, Canva, PDF)
-
Aspect ratio: 16:9 (Standard)
-
Embedded media: If you use video or audio, make sure they are embedded (not linked)
🧠 Know your audience
You're speaking to a broad, international group. Avoid too much jargon or overly technical detail — imagine you’re explaining your work to a curious researcher from another field.
🖼️ Use visuals, not walls of text
Keep slides clean and readable. Use large fonts, clear figures, and minimal text. Let your visuals support what you’re saying — not replace it.
📌 Poster Presentations
🗓️ The poster session will take place on Tuesday, September 2, from 16:30 to 18:30 in the main hall or outside, depending on the weather. Final location details will be shared closer to the conference. You may begin setting up your poster between 15:00 and 16:15 on the same day.
📏 Poster Format & Guidelines
We encourage posters to be engaging, visual, and creative—think beyond the traditional scientific poster! Please avoid overcrowded text, and aim to stay within the following guidelines:
Size: 80 cm wide x 120 cm high (portrait)
Include names of all contributors and their affiliations (logos welcome!)
Keep text brief — max 200 words, but less is often better
Use large fonts and clear, concise messaging
Visuals are key — use photos, figures, or infographics where possible
Be bold and innovative in design — make your poster stand out!
If you wish, you may bring additional interactive materials (e.g. tablet, laptop, books), but note that tables or extra setup services will not be provided. Be sure to bring a printed copy of your poster — printing will not be available at the venue.
⚡️ Speed talk
Short, sharp, and memorable. You’ve got 5 minutes. Make them count.
🧭 Purpose
Speed talks are meant to give the audience a quick but impactful look at your work. It’s not about squeezing everything in—it’s about leaving them wanting more. Focus on what’s exciting, surprising, or important about your work.
⏱️ Format
Each presenter has 5 minutes for their talk. There is no time for questions during your talk—we’ll hold a Q&A session at the end of the block. Keep in mind: five minutes go by faster than you think!
📊 Slide tips
-
Max 5 slides – fewer is better (PowerPoint 16:9 aspect)
-
Use big fonts, clear visuals, minimal text
-
Avoid dense data – pick 1–2 key points or results
-
Think clarity, not flashiness
📂 Submitting Your Talk

-
If you're speaking in the morning, get it in no later than 07:50
-
